TF2 War Paint Collection

Craftsmann Collection

Rustic, woodgrain, back-country gunsmithing — the most hand-made-looking set on the board.

  • 15 weapons
  • 4 grades
  • Civilian → Commando ladder
  • 5 wear tiers each

Theme & concept

Craftsmann is the rural workshop of the war-paint world. The names read like a hardware catalogue gone to war: Lumber From Down Under, Iron Wood, Barn Burner, Rustic Ruiner, Homemade Heater, Backcountry Blaster, Old Country, American Pastoral. Where Teufort is civic, Craftsmann is agricultural and artisanal — plaid, timber and reclaimed metal rather than town-hall polish.

That gives the set a coherent, earthy palette across very different weapons, which is exactly what makes it popular with players building a matched, rough-and-ready loadout.

How the set is built

Craftsmann is a tight fifteen-weapon set on the Civilian → Commando ladder. The Tartan Torpedo Scattergun and Lumber From Down Under Sniper Rifle are the Commando-grade pair at the top; three Mercenary, five Freelance and five Civilian pieces fill the rest.

It is the most evenly spread of the Civilian-family sets — no single grade dominates the way Civilian does in Teufort or Harvest — so the "feel" of the collection is consistent from the chase pieces down to the base.

Grade distribution

Decorated grades run, rarest to most common: Elite, Assassin, Commando, Mercenary, Freelance, Civilian. Here is how this set's 15 weapons split across the grades it actually contains.

  • Commando 2
  • Mercenary 3
  • Freelance 5
  • Civilian 5

The full roster

Every weapon below ships in all five wear tiers (Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle Scarred). Names link to the live catalog page for that item.

What drives value in this set

Craftsmann is unusual for how evenly its value is spread. Because no single grade dominates the roster — unlike the Civilian-heavy Teufort or Harvest — interest runs across the whole ladder rather than piling onto the top, even though the Commando-grade Tartan Torpedo and Lumber From Down Under stay the scarce chase. Condition then counts for more than on most sets: the detailed woodgrain-and-plaid artwork shows every scratch, so a Battle Scarred copy reads visibly rough and the Factory New premium runs wider than it would on a flatter paint. Strange and clean unusual copies keep their step over plain Decorated.

How the pieces relate

Craftsmann sits in the Civilian → Commando family with Teufort, Gentlemanne’s and Harvest. It pairs naturally with Teufort for a rural/small-town themed loadout, and contrasts cleanly with the high-gloss Gentlemanne’s set if you want to show the two ends of the "grounded" aesthetic side by side.
