This Withdrawal Policy applies to digital services offered on Checkpaint.tf that are not provided on a tangible medium. It implements the requirements of:

  • Art. 246a §1 EGBGB (Germany)
  • EU Consumer Rights Directive (CRD)
  • EU Digital Content & Digital Services Directive (2022)
  • EU Payment Regulations (PayPal)

1. Scope

This withdrawal policy applies to contracts for paid digital services purchased directly from Checkpaint.tf, including Premium features and paid advertising placements.

It does not apply to trades or transactions on third-party sites, nor to voluntary donations without a service in return.

2. Right of Withdrawal

If you are an EU or EEA consumer and purchase paid digital services, premium features or advertising placements from Checkpaint.tf, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason, provided the service has not yet been fully activated with your express consent.

3. Withdrawal Period

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date the contract is concluded. If you request immediate access to paid features, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may expire once the service is fully delivered.

4. How to Withdraw

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send a clear statement by email to [email protected]. Please include:

  • Full name
  • Email or SteamID used for purchase
  • PayPal transaction ID
  • Statement that you wish to withdraw

5. Immediate Activation & Expiry of Withdrawal Right

Because Premium and advertising features begin immediately:

You must confirm: “I request immediate activation of the digital service and acknowledge that my right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully delivered.”

Storage of Consent: Checkpaint.tf stores this confirmation for 12 months for legal proof (Art. 7(1) GDPR and Art. 246a EGBGB).

Legal Effect: Once activated after explicit request, the withdrawal right expires immediately (Art. 16(m) CRD and Art. 312f BGB).

6. Partial Withdrawal & Pro-Rata Compensation

If you did NOT request immediate activation and withdraw within 14 days after partial use, we may charge a pro-rata amount.

Pro-rata formula: (value of service already provided ÷ total contract value) × total price

7. Refunds

If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your notice. Refunds will be made using the same payment method (PayPal), unless we agree on a different method. You will not incur any fees for the refund.

8. No Withdrawal Right for Donations

Voluntary donations without receiving a digital service in return are non-refundable and have no withdrawal right.
