Notice-and-Action Mechanism (DSA Art. 14)

Checkpaint.tf provides a notice-and-action procedure for reporting illegal content. Users may report content through:

A valid notice should include:

  1. Description of the content being reported
  2. URL or unique identifier
  3. Explanation of why the content is unlawful
  4. Name and contact details of the reporter (optional)

Reports are reviewed promptly and appropriate measures are taken under the DSA.

EU Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we aim to resolve issues directly with our users.

Liability for Content

As service providers we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with § 7 (1) DDG. According to §§ 8–10 DDG we are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored information from third parties or to investigate circumstances indicating illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general laws remain unaffected. Any liability in this respect is only possible from the moment we become aware of a concrete infringement. Upon notification of such violations we will remove the content promptly.

Our offer contains links to external websites of third parties over whose contents we have no control. Therefore we cannot assume any liability for these external contents. The respective provider or operator is always responsible for the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognisable at that time. Permanent monitoring of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon notification we will remove such links promptly.
